Finally it's here, after roughly two years and a bit of work adapting my sound and creating a fully realised bedroom produced album - Cartridge has now been set free from the prison of my computer. This album represents many things, my love for music and my love for absolutely going mad with innovation and creative ideas within music. I developed the core for sound for this album during the course of mid 2019 to late 2020, eventually releasing 'Music is on Your Side' as a sort of debut single. With also taking into account of being at uni, it took me some time to iron out exactly how I was gonna do this first release - which eventually turned from an EP to an album focusing on the concept of escapism and becoming lost in your own world to escape from any horrors of the real world (especially inspired by these last two years).

The concept may represent the positives or negatives of becoming lost in your own world, partially inspired by personal experiences during the worst of lockdown during covid. The EP was originally called 'Nite Life' and was more dance based - but with 'Cartridge', I decided to lean into indie-electronic and punk influences on top of my original dance influences (mainly inspired by Daft Punk and Justice among others). I called it 'Cartridge' as I wanted to relate to the theme of escapism, and some elements have been inspired by the sound of the Game Boy Advance.

So please enjoy this album, I wanted to create a collage of cartoon-ish electronic sounds that sounded fun, intense and downright charming.
